From August 26-28, the "9th Perovskite and Tandem Solar Cell (Yangtze River Delta) Industrialization Forum" hosted by the PV Pioneer Innovation Forum was held in Changzhou, Jiangsu. In the keynote speech titled "Key Issues in the Industrialization of Perovskite-Silicon Tandem Solar Cells and Modules", Dr. Zhang Yifeng introduced the technical background of perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells, key issues in mass production, the current situation of the sector, the progress of Tongwei's mass production development of perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells/modules, and the future prospects of tandem solar cell technologies.

Dr. Zhang Yifeng said that in the field of perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells, Tongwei has chosen a technical route that is compatible with the existing heterojunction production line. Based on the reaction mechanism and bottleneck of the two-step vapor deposition-solution method, through the systematic regulation of the two-step perovskite process, it has achieved high-fidelity perovskite film formation on commercial textured thin-silicon bottom cells and the overall optimization of tandem devices, with a R&D efficiency reaching 34.69%. At the same time, the Company is actively promoting the industrialization process. The efficiency of full-size 210 half-piece perovskite-heterojunction tandem solar cells has exceeded 28.39%, and it is expected that the construction of the tandem solar cell pilot line will be completed by the end of September 2025.

In the future, Tongwei will closely integrate its characteristic HJT cell platform with cell technologies such as thinning, silver-free metallization, and 0BB, and continue to promote the mass production transformation of perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells. In addition, relying on the sector-leading and complete R&D platform, Tongwei has deployed mainstream future technologies such as solar cells and modules, providing more efficient PV solutions for the global energy transition and helping to build a clean and low-carbon energy future.
