It's time to boost the pace and efficiency! Tongwei Spotlighted by CCTV-2 Finance Channel, Interpreting New Energy Development

With a focus on the production process of Tongwei's high-purity polysilicon and efficient module, CCTV-2 Finance Channel released a special report on March 8. The reporter visited the Leshan Base of Tongwei's Yongxiang Co., Ltd. and the Jintang Base of TW Solar, and interviewed Liu Hanyuan, Deputy to the NPC, Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tongwei Group.

The price of the PV industry chain has significantly decreased since last year, but the industry is now embracing an economic recovery as a result of recent reports of rising costs in some links. According to the CCTV reporter, there are numerous distillation columns in Leshan, the world's largest place of production of photovoltaic silicon material, as five of the world's top 10 PV companies settled there with several leading factories operating at full capacity. Industry insiders generally feel that even though the industry has bottomed out and is experiencing a stable recovery, structural overcapacity will still exist in 2024 and pressure on corporate profits will persist. However, leading businesses are still attempting to seize the market by expanding despite the downward trend. Recently, leading PV enterprises, such as Tongwei, LONGi, and Daqo Engergy, have released their expansion plans in succession.

During an interview with CCTV reporters, Chairman Liu Hanyuan said that China's PV industry has entered a new cycle of development. From an idealistic standpoint, this expansion might seem irrational, but in reality, it is quite normal in terms of the law of the market, and the current surplus and new status of equilibrium are just minor waves in the evolution of an emerging industry that has a lot of room to grow.

The report screen indicates that there are over 30 master control personnel lining up in the central control room of Yongxiang's Leshan Base, serving as the brain of the whole production system. They will precisely control every link in the factory's process chain, and master controllers will carefully tweak the settings to make sure every part is operating at maximum efficiency.
