Tonghe New Energy Slicing Project Phase 2 Produced Its First Silicon Wafer

On May 25, the first silicon wafer was taken from the production line of Tonghe New Energy Slicing Project Phase 2, with the staff of Tonghe New Energy Q1 workshop gazing it fervently and celebrating it with rapturous applause. Guo Kuanxin, General Manager Assistant of Tonghe New Energy, and the key staff joined everyone else in witnessing this exciting moment.

Tonghe New Energy Slicing Project Phase 2 Produced Its First Silicon Wafer

Starting from scratch, the participants of Tonghe New Energy Slicing Project built the MES system, planned the automatic IGV trolley route, organized scheduled technical training, conducted production equipment testing repeatedly, demonstrated and improved the process continuously, and implemented the project by abiding by the highest requirements and highest standard in the industry all the time. It took only 4 months from output of the first silicon wafer in Phase 1 on October 28, 2021 to output of the first silicon wafer in Phase 2. Despite the severe situation of the global COVID-19 pandemic and the fluctuating condition of PV market, all staff of Tonghe New Energy Slicing Project still faithfully adhered to the tenet of "benefit comes from efficiency, detail is the key of success and speed makes the results", and once again proved "Tongwei speed" by completing installation and commissioning in only 1 month.

The slicing workshop features AI intelligent management system, intelligent integrated equipment and intelligent analysis and management. The automatic rod adhesion line and auxiliary cutting equipment are controlled by the intelligent management system. Thanks to the functions such as output tracking, automatic equipment operation, process identification and MES system interfacing, Phase 2 is made more automatic, intelligent and digitalized, and becomes a major contributor to the PV industry.
