Chairman Liu invited to Singapore by SCTD

September, 16, in order to thank the great support for Sichuan earthquake relief and post-disaster reconstruction from Singapore government, business and all sections of society, and to promote trade cooperation between Sichuan and Singapore, Mr. Liu Qibao, Sichuan provincial Party Committee Secretary, and Director of Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Sichuan province, led Sichuan Trade Delegation (SCTD) for a Singapore visit. Board Chairman of Tongwei Group, Mr. Liu Hanyuan was invited to this visit. Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong received Mr. Liu Qibao and the delegation.

September, 17, Sichuan-Singapore Investment Promotion Seminar was held by Sichuan provincial government, Sichuan provincial department of commerce, Foreign affairs office of Sichuan government, and Sichuan provincial investment promotion bureau. The seminar was presented by Singapore chamber of commerce, International enterprise Singapore, and was greatly supported by the Economic and Commercial Counselor’s office of the Chinese Embassy to Singapore.

Sichuan-Singapore Investment Promotion Seminar has promoted 52 projects, with the trade and investment total reaching $ 6.36 billion USD. Among these, 33 projects were investment to Sichuan from Singapore, with a total investment of $5.72 billion USD. 14 site contracts were done, with trade and investment total reaching $5.54 billion USD. Tongwei Group also signed new energy projects to Singapore of $ 80 million USD.
