Chairman Liu Selected CFA Vice Chairman

May, 18, the 3rd National Representative Assembly of the China Fisheries Association was held in Beijing. Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Niu Dun, Board Chairman of Tongwei Group, Liu Hanyuan, and other officials from Ministry of Agriculture and fisheries association attended the meeting. Mr. Liu Hanyuan was elected Vice Chairman of China Fisheries Association.

Mr. Niu Dun made a keynote speech. He spoke highly of the achievements in China’s agriculture economy during the 30 years of China’s reform and opening up, with the growth of fishery industry being the highlight. Aquaculture is of great importance nationwide, and is the crucial support of the country’s food safety. At present, aquatic products are the agricultural products with absolute advantage at home and abroad.

In addition, Mr. Niu Dun gave high credit for the work achievements of the second Fisheries Association, and further put forward higher requirements and hopes for the new council. Chairman of the association, Qi Jingfa, made a work briefing of the second council of China Fisheries Association.
