The Press Release Case of Tongwei Group: Top 10 Among China’s Enterprises

　　Recently, Tongwei Group got a notice from the organizing committee of 2009 Annual Meeting for Chinese Enterprises’ Spokesmen that the news case Through News Press, Tongwei Clarifies the Rumors of Using Melamine as Unwritten Rules in China’s Feed Industry done by the news center of Tongwei Group was selected as 2009 Top 10 News Cases in China’s Enterprises.

　　In Sept. 2008, the incident of using melamine in Sanlu milk powder was condemned by people all over China. Meanwhile, since it was rumored that melamine was also added to feed products and there were many negative reports on feed industry, the incident brought disaster to feed industry. As a leader in feed industry, Tongwei Group, under the leadership of president Liu, is the first and only enterprise in feed industry to hold a press conference to explain the ingredients, usage and monitoring and controlling means of melamine to the general public and explained how Tongwei produces its products in accordance with relevant state laws and regulations and foreign standards. During this period, journalists from different presses were invited to visit Tongwei’s testing center at national level to learn the testing process of melamine. Later, more than 600 articles were written to report most of China’s enterprises’ lawful acts in the production process, which rebuild consumers’ confidence towards the safety of food industry in China.
