Tongwei Golden Card Pig RFID Traceable System Launched in Chengdu

On Dec. 17th, Tongwei Golden Card Pig RFID Traceable System launching ceremony and Cured Meat Products Conference themed with “ To care food safety, and to care the future of us” was held in Shuangnan Store, Ito-Yokado, by Chunyuan Food Company.

Xu Yang, deputy director of Sichuan Information Industry Department, Huang Zhengzhang, deputy director of High-Tech Office of Sichuan Development and Reform Commission, Ge Yunlun, deputy director of Chengdu Agricultural Committee, leaders from Chengdu Commerce Bureau, Trade and Industry Bureau, Food Safety Commission, Economy Development Bureau and Technologic Bureau of Chengdu High-Tech Zone, Li Xianjun, vice mayor of Qionglai, Guan Yawei, president of Tongwei Ag, Hu Rongzhu, vice president of Tongwei Group, Huang Qigang，assistant president, Zhan Tianbing, general manager of Chunyuan Food Company, Board Chairman of Ito-Yokado, Liao Changming, board chairman of Sichuan Dingtian presented the activity.

President Guan pointed out that food safety relates to human health, contributes to pursue economic development and build a harmonious society. Thus, food safety is listed as another big social problem, after population, resource and environment. In recent years, much attention is paid to guarantee food safety in Chengdu. Especially in this year, the construction of traceable system is strengthened. The launching of “Tongwei Golden Card Pig” project, the only state-level traceable system testing project, has great meaning to improve the quality of consumers’ lives and will lead more reliable enterprises to participate in the construction of RFID traceable system so as to provide the customers with more safe livestock and poultry products.

Deputy director Xu Yang said that Tongwei is a leader in building information system of pig product industrial chain, making the process from cultivating to processing till selling traceable. RFID is certified as nation’s information pilot project by National Development and Reform Commission, and regarded as Sichuan’s first information demonstration project.

Later, Mr. Xu, Mr. Ge, Mr. Li, Mr. Guan and Sanzhi Fubo pressed the crystal ball, announcing the launching of “Tongwei Golden Card Pig RFID traceable system”. On the afternoon of 17th, a cured meat product seminar was held, which attracts many customers to buy the products.

Previously, Tongwei “Golden Card Pig” provides the customers only cold fresh meat products. But with this launching ceremony, the cured meat products come onto the market. Since the raw materials are traceable, the products are healthy and safe, which are welcomed by customers from all walks of life.
