Tongwei for 3rd Time Selected as Top 500 Chinese Informatized Co

　　On March 22, the press conference of 2007 Top 500 Chinese Companies in Informatization, which was themed “Innovation, Integration & Scientific Development”, was held in Beijing. Tongwei Group, ranking the 137th, was on the list together with reputed companies including ICBD, Shanghai GE, State Grid and Haier. This was the third time for Tongwei Group to win the honor, after 2004 and 2006. It was reported that during the assessment only 16 Sichuan companies were selected, and only two companies based in Sichuan (Changhong and Tongwei)―representing the highest level of informatization in the province―ranked above the 140th. Ran Longsheng, director of Tongwei Corp’s IT Center, attended the conference.

　　Over the past 15 years, Tongwei Group has been investing continuously and generously in information system buildup, which had led to non-stop optimization of its corporate information system and platform which fits in with the business ever better and has covered every layer of the company’s internaal operation and management. As a result, Tongwei has noticeably improved its level of production automation, daily operation informatization, and paperless office administration. In future, Tongwei will deepen its group-level integration and application to integrate seamlessly all aspects of corprate information applications and extend the application of information to various links of the business sectors groupwide.
