Tongwei Held Technology Forum

Taking “Aquaculture and Food Safety” as its theme, the Current Industry Situation Report and 2009 Tongwei Technology Forum was held on May, 17th, in Chengdu. Board Chairman of Tongwei Group, Mr. Liu Hanyuan, Chinese Academy of Sciences Scholar Mr. Cao Wenxuan, Head of China’s Feed Industry Association, Mr. Bai Meiqing, President of European Aquaculture Society, Dr. Laszlo Varadi, as well as relevant industry executives, entrepreneurs, experts and the media were present at the Forum.

The issues discussed at the forum includes economic situation in China and the world, Current situation of China’s Aquaculture and Feed Industry, as well as agriculture and animal husbandry industry development. President of European Aquaculture Society, Dr. Laszlo Varadi, gave a keynote speech on Status and Trends of World Aquaculture:Asia-Europe Collaboration. Mr.Boonsirm Withyachumnarnkul, from Department of Anatomy and Centex Shrimp Faculty of Science, Mahidol University gave an excellent presentation on White-spot Disease in Penaeid Shrimp: From Molecular Studies to Field Prevention. Tongwei Technology Forum provided an important platform for the industry to communicate and exchange ideas and opinions.
