Soaring 39 Places! Tongwei Ranks in the 2022 Fortune China 500 List

FORTUNEChina.com recently released the 2022 Fortune China 500 List, which measured the performance and achievements of the biggest listed Chinese companies in the world in the last year. Tongwei ranks 217th in the list, once again gaining authoritative recognition with international credibility.

The total operating income of the 500 listed companies in the 2022 Fortune China 500 List reaches RMB 62 trillion, a year-on-year (YoY) increase of about 17.4%. The net profit reaches RMB 4.7 trillion, a YoY increase of about 9.2%. When compared with the list released last year, this list shows companies with the annual operating income threshold of nearly RMB 22.8 billion, which is 31% higher than the threshold of nearly RMB 17.4 billion in the previous year. Last year, China's GDP exceeded RMB 110 trillion. This year, the total income of the 500 companies reached RMB 62 trillion, accounting for more than half of China's GDP. With an income of nearly RMB 63.5 billion, Tongwei ranks 217th in the list, soaring 39 places from the previous year.

Tongwei has been included in the Fortune China 500 List for many years by virtue of its forward-looking strategic layout of "green agriculture" and "green energy" and the steady and rapid development of its two major industries, In 2021, Tongwei saw an operating income of RMB 63.491 billion, a YoY increase of 43.64%; the net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was RMB 8.208 billion, a YoY increase of 127.50%. In the first half of this year, Yongxiang Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Tongwei Co., Ltd., achieved ten best and ten first results and achieved an annual production capacity of 230,000 tons of high-purity crystalline silicon, keeping a global leading position. As of the second quarter of this year, the global cumulative shipment of Tongwei's solar PV cells has exceeded 100GW, and Tongwei has become the first battery manufacturer in the industry to complete the battery shipment volume of 100GW. Tongwei Co., Ltd. has hit a record high with a total market value exceeding RMB 300 billion for the first time, and thus become the first company in Chengdu with a market value exceeding RMB 300 billion. Tongwei brand now values over RMB 160 billion, is one of the top 50 of China's 500 Most Valuable Brands, stands in first place among private enterprises in Sichuan Province, and ranks first in the world's two major industries of aquaculture and PV.
