Luo Qiang, Deputy Governor of Sichuan Province, Inspects TW Solar

Luo Qiang, Vice Governor of Sichuan Province, led the delegates of the on-site meeting on promoting the steady industrial growth of the province to visit TW Solar Meishan base for investigation and guidance on May 11. Hu Yuankun, Secretary of the CPC Meishan Municipal Committee, Deng Qiang, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Ganmei Industrial Park, and leaders of relevant departments in the city and districts accompanied the investigation. Xie Yi, Chairman of Tongwei Co., Ltd., and the senior management team of TW Solar warmly received.

Chairman Xie gave a detailed introduction to Vice Governor Luo Qiang and his gang on the operation of Tongwei and its investment in Sichuan, as well as relevant situations including TW Solar's production capacity, investment and operation, intelligence degree and lean management. He said that Tongwei has now developed into the world's second-largest enterprise in terms of PV market value and the world's largest crystalline silicon cell manufacturer as a local enterprise in Meishan. Thanks to the support of the leaders of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee, Sichuan Provincial People's Government, the CPC Meishan Municipal Committee and Meishan Municipal People's Government, and Ganmei Industrial Park, TW Solar Meishan base has created a miracle that it took less than three years to complete the signing of the project contract to achieve an output value of RMB 10 billion, making the enterprise the first in Meishan to achieve that goal.

Mr. Luo had a detail understanding of the development of Tongwei's intelligent manufacturing and green smart factory, and visited the intelligent factory and digital workshop on site. He indicated that we should make full use of the digital empowerment to reduce production costs, improve labor productivity and the level of intrinsic safety, deepen the digitization and continuously increase the digitization level of core equipment and key processes; and all departments at all levels should earnestly provide services to support the development of enterprises with great efforts and implement relevant policies to benefit enterprises. Mr. Luo hoped that Tongwei will continue to improve its innovation level and contribute to promoting the "strong manufacturing province" strategy and building a modern socialist Sichuan in an all-around way.
